The Catacombs
We begin at the Catacombs, which feature a blend of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art across three levels. The main tomb is adorned with symbols, statues, and carvings from these ancient cultures.
The Seraphim Temple
Next, visit Pompey's Pillar, a 25-meter-tall red granite structure from the 3rd century. Erected in honor of Emperor Diocletian, it is one of the few remaining parts of the Seraphim Temple and once rivaled the grandeur of the Soma and Cesarean.
Qaitbay Citadel
Next, visit the Qaitbay Citadel, built by Sultan Qaitbay on the site of the ancient Alexandria Lighthouse, which was destroyed by an earthquake.
