Itinerary

Once you arrive at the Cairo Airport, your tour guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival terminal. They will have a board with your name on it. Once you meet with your tour guide, they will take you to your hotel where you'll have the rest of the day to relax. There is an optional tour on this day.

Dinner Cruise - Giza Pyramids Sound & Light Show

After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to begin your day. 


Saqqara Complex

After exploring Memphis, you're guide will take you to Saqqara Necropolis where you'll see the Six Steps Pyramid, the main entrance of the Necropolis, and the Pyramid of King Teti.

Once you've seen all the highlights of the complex, your tour guide will take you to a local and authentic restaurant where we encourage you to try our local cuisine.


Pyramids of Giza

Once you finish lunch, you'll head to the Pyramids of Giza. But first you'll stop at the Papyrus Institute to learn more about the world's first paper, and also to purchase authentic papyrus.

After your short stop here your guide will take you to the Pyramids of Giza where you'll have a three hour tour. You'll be able to enter one of Cheops small pyramids, stand near the Great Pyramid of Cheops, and then see a wonderful panoramic view of the three pyramids and the surrounding city.

Please remember, if you'd like to enter the Great Pyramid of Cheops, this will be an additional fee which you'll need to pay for at the entrance of the pyramid. Your tour guide will be more than happy to assist you with purchasing these tickets.

Just when you think it can't get any better, you'll be taken into the valley where you'll get up close and personal with the Sphinx and the Valley Temple!

Before we take you back to your hotel we will hav one more stop at the ancient oils salon where you'll learn about the wonderful scents and smells of the great Kings and Queens of Egypt.


You'll have an early morning check out as you'll be taken to the Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan. Your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to take you to the airport and help you check in to your flight.


Philea Temple

The Philea Temple was built during the reign of Ptolemy II. The Temple of Isis at Philae is dedicated to Isis, Osiris, and Horus. The walls of the temple contain scenes from Egyptian Mythology of Isis bringing Osiris back to life, giving birth to Horus, and mummifying Osiris after his death.


Unfinished Obelisk

Next, you'll head to the unfinished obelisk which is the largest known ancient obelisk and is located in the northern region of the stone quarries of ancient Egypt.  It was studied in detail by Reginald Engelbach in 1922. 


The High Dam

The Aswan High Dam is located across the Nile River. It was built in 1970 and cost roughly $1 billion to construct. The Aswan High Dam yields enormous benefits for the Egyptian economy.

Optional tour (Nubian Village tour)

You'll check out this morning and travel to Abu Simbel where you'll see the magnificent temples. 

Abu Simbel Temples 

Abu Simbel is two massive rock-cut temples in the village of Abu Simbel. They are situated on the Western Bank of lake Nasser, about 230 km southwest of Aswan.

 

Please note that the drive from Abu Simbel to Luxor is approximately six hours. We'll make frequent stops for those who need it. 

After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel to begin your tour of Luxor. 


The Valley of The Kings

Your first stop will be to the Valley of The Kings. Here, you'll be able to visit three tombs from the inside. The Valley of The Kings is the funerary complex of the Ancient Egyptians hidden in the mountains between the low limestone hills of Gurna. The Valley holds 63 registered tombs with three more tombs being recently discovered.

Please note that tickets to visit Tutankhamen's tombs are not included in this tour. You can purchase them when you arrive to the tomb. Your tour guide will be more than happy to assist you with purchasing these tickets.


The Mortuary Temple of the Queen Hatshepsut

Your next stop will be to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This is the only temple in Egypt build in a terrace formation into the cliff face. Hatshepsut was a famous female pharaoh who wore a false beard and all the trappings of a male pharaoh in order to claim the throne for herself.


Visiting the Colossi of Memnon

After your visit to the Mortuary, you'll see the statues of Memnon. These are the only remaining statues from the Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III showing the pharaoh sitting on his throne.


Karnak Temples & Lunch

After visiting Memnon Colossi, you'll go to a local restaurant for your lunch. Drinks during your lunch are not included. 

Our last stop on this tour is the Karnak Temples. Commonly known as Karnak, this complex comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings. This is the oldest complex in Egypt and is a highlight for many visiting Luxor.

You'll then return to the airport for our flight back to Cairo. arriving in Cairo at around 07:00 pm (subject to the flight schedule). You will then be taken back to your hotel.


Optional tour (Karnak temples sound and Light Show - Hot Air Balloon)

 

Arriving Back in Cairo, your tour guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the first stop of the day. 


Visiting the Old Coptic Cairo

During your tour of Coptic Cairo, you'll visit three important churches. One is where Jesus Christ lived when he was two years old with Mary and Joseph. You'll also visit the cave where the Holy Family lived nearly 2,000 years ago.

You'll also visit the Hanging Church which was built on the base of the Tower of Babylon Fortress. You'll also get to visit a Greek Church called St. George Church and finally the Ben Ezra Synagogue.


Saladin Citadel

Next, you'll visit the Saladin Citadel where you'll visit the Alabaster Mosque, Qalwoan Mosque, and enjoy the wonderful view of the city from the Citadel.


Khan El Khalili Bazaar

At the end of your tour you can enjoy a walking  tour in Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can buy your gifts for your friends and families. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and see local Egyptians at work.


Egyptian Museum

Enjoy a three hour guided tour in the Egyptian museum where you'll learn more about ancient Egyptian history, legends, Kings and Queens, visit the treasure of the young King TUT Ankh Amen and his golden mask, and so much more!
